This device performs no routing, NAT, firewalling, DHCP, VLAN tagging, or port mirroring. It forwards Ethernet frames only and has no management interface. Verified 2026-07-29 by physical audit — supersedes all earlier port-mapping text.

Architectural Notes
All ports participate in the same flat LAN broadcast domain. This switch introduces no routing authority and does not alter packet flow. All Layer-3 control remains with the UCG-Ultra gateway (see [[Home Network Architecture - Authoritative Reference]]).

Sits directly between the ISP NTD and the UCG-Ultra gateway. Also carries a second uplink down to ls108g, and hosts forge's two LAN legs (including the SPAN/mirror source). Verified 2026-07-29 by physical audit (hand-drawn wiring map + on-site port trace) — supersedes all earlier port-mapping text, which described the pre-UCG-Ultra (pihole-as-gateway) topology.
